Hi, my name is Adina. Did you know that kids get arthritis, too? It affects 54 million Americans, including 300,000 children just like me. I was diagnosed with arthritis when I was 18 months old. I am 10 now and I get two injections each week to help control it. The good news is that I finally have my arthritis in remission. Yay!
My friends with arthritis and I have faced sometimes relentless pain, a frustrating search for a diagnosis, multiple doctor visits and treatments, missed school, and limited mobility, and our parents have to deal with a maze of medical and insurance paperwork. The Arthritis Foundation has helped me through these times by creating support groups, funding Camp ArCTIC, and giving me a Juvenile Arthritis Power Pack including a stuffed bear that can be used as a warm or cold pack.
So, please join me in supporting the Arthritis Foundation! They help us fight back against this painful disease by funding research toward better treatments and a cure, so people with arthritis (like me) can live a full life without the limitations arthritis creates. People with arthritis are warriors, and together, we are unstoppable against arthritis!
